Keep SEO Companies From Cheating You – Part 2
2. July 2009
Terry
Here is a feature article from Nick Bokhonok who has been creating web projects, Internet marketing and SEO tools since 2000. His expertise is helping people generate good quality backlinks to their site…which is an absolute requirement for getting top search engine rankings in competitive phrases.
In December 2008 Nick released Free Traffic System – free community where bloggers can build backlinks, get free content and push their sites to top pages in search engines. Because of the value provided, this community has grown to over 10,000 members in this short period!
This is Part 2 of the publication which was started here. We are explaining how to make sure that SEO companies do not cheat you and do exactly what you pay them for. In the first part of this publication we explained how exactly SEO companies can cheat you on keyword research. Now the time is to talk about other types of SEO services. In an upcoming 3rd part we’ll talk about the off-page part of optimization (link building).
I will mention here that I want to make sure you don’t understand the prices Nick mentions below. The big keys to SEO come not as much in the on-page optimization, but also in the off-page and the link building (which can be very time consuming). You’ll also notice he doesn’t list a price at all for “writing” of the page itself. This is where the most involvement is on the page.
I agree with Nick completely on the fact that it’s quick to do all the meta tags. If you’re being charged high fees for those elements, you’re being cheated. Plain and simple. And if those factors are ALL an SEO company does for you, they’re missing it BIG TIME.
Here’s Nick…
Onpage Optimization
Onpage optimization (also known as onsite optimization) is about making your web page fit specific standards that are encouraged by Google and other search engines. We will not go into all details of these standards. In a nutshell, they are simple – your page must be “readable” to the search engine bots, in nice simple code.
This is like feeding birds in the park: if you give them crumbs – they eat them with pleasure, but if you throw them bread that is wrapped up in paper and double wrapped up in something else – poor birds will go crazy trying to get to the food.
The same with search engines, if you build your site with the help of site constructors (also known as Content Management Systems or CMS) which wrap up your text into huge piles of clumsy programming code – then search engine bots will have big troubles trying to “read” and index your text.
That is why before we go to the nuances of onpage optimization, I would recommend you to ask your SEO companies what site engine/site constructor/content management system they are going to build your site. And – by the way – if the choice of site engine is in your hands from the very beginning, then make a wise choice so that your text is readable and the CMS has at least basic SEO features included.
My personal choice over the last years is WordPress. And Terry’s blog which you are reading right now is also built on WordPress. It does not mean that this is the only site engine that is OK for SEO, but more and more people choose WordPress today, because lots of SEO tools are automatically inserted into this site engine.
The Maximum Onpage SEO Package
For you to understand how not to get cheated on the onpage optimization with your site, it would be very helpful to have the list of “maximum onpage SEO package” – in other words to know what exactly can be done as part of onpage SEO on your site.
Here are a few elements we’re going to cover:
- meta title of page
- meta description of page
- meta keywords of page
- URL of the page
- text of the page (the body of the text – what you actually see when you read a page)
It is also important to know that parts of the text of the page – like headlines, subheadlines – are also wrapped into special codes. These codes give “hints” to the search engine robots “this is a headline in my text, it is important” or “this is a subheadline, it is also quite important” etc. This is done with the help of html code like H1, H2. You do not need to know these codes, but your SEO company should be using these tags when they build your page.
NOTE: Depending upon the site engine there might be additional elements for onpage optimization. For example, WordPress has tags and these tags can be very helpful in generating more traffic.
Make Sure to Use *Golden* Keywords in Onpage SEO!!
This is very important. Usually onpage SEO is done to make your page or site look more “adequate” for a specific keyword. That is why if you have one or several *golden* keywords researched for your niche (read more about *golden* keywords in Part 1 of this publication), then it is absolutely vital that you have at least one page optimized for the *golden* keyword.
In simple words it means that this *golden* keyword must be used throughout the page: in the URL of the page, in meta title and description, in the text itself, etc.
Surely do not overdo the optimization, it does not mean that every sentence of your text should have the *golden* keyword inside. Mentioning it 1-3 times in the text is fine.
But it is vital to use the *golden* keywords in onpage SEO, because you pay money to get these keywords found, and surely you need to capitalize on them.
Prices and Cheating
The typical catch that SEO services use is to sell you a less valuable job as a more valuable job. As there are no fixed standards on the market, you cannot appeal to any prices.
I would try to help you with the following. I will explain what exactly each job from the “maximum onpage SEO package” is about. And then you – with the help of the common sense – will be able to pre-estimate what price is ok for it and what is too much.
You will also see that the prices are quoted on a “per page” basis. It is done so, because each of the pages of your site needs special care. Surely today there are solutions that can clone one and the same meta title, description and other elements to all pages of your site. But this is not very good for the SEO, because search engines will see that all your pages have the same info, and it can look unnatural.
That is why it is really better if all pages of your site look a little different when it comes down the texts of meta title, meta description and the texts on the page. If you cannot afford it, then at least make sure that onpage SEO of the 2-3 pages on which you are focusing your attention do not get “cloned” on all other pages of your site – these 2-3 pages must have unique, hand-made onpage customization.
(*) meta title of the page
Meta title is the text that you see at the top of the browser, like shown on the screenshot

Meta title is very important for SEO, because it is not only shown in the browser, but also part of the meta title is shown in the search engine results, like this:

As you can see, meta title is not something that is seen only at the top of the browser window (where hardly any human being will focus attention on), but also in the search engine results. And this is important, because a meta title that is not attractive, a meta title that is not intriguing enough to make the surfer click the page is a waste of effort.
So, the work about meta title is a combination of SEO (putting your keywords into it) and copywriting (making your title appeal to the potential readers).
Price: $5 per one page – I think this is quite a fair price, but you can try to negotiate a discount if you order many pages and, perhaps, can even drop in to $4/page on big amount of pages.
(*) meta description of the page
You cannot see meta description anywhere in the page (only in the HTML code of the page), but description is visible on the search engine results. I am showing it here:

As you can see, meta description is also important not only for SEO, but also for attracting the attention of the potential readers, because a big portion of meta description is shown in the results of the search engine.
This means a nicely written intriguing description can help you to attract more readers. So, in an ideal version this is also a combination of SEO and copywriting.
Price: $5-10 per one page – as description is longer than meta title, you can hear the argument about increasing the price for it. And this is logical. But I assume that this is NOT SO MUCH text to be added; instead of one sentence like you have with meta title, this is about 2-3 sentences in the meta description. Plus, if you order a nice package, I am sure that you can negotiate the meta title + meta description to be done for $7 per page on nice volumes.
(*) meta keywords of the page
The importance of meta keywords for SEO is disputable, and you can hear that meta keywords are not really that important as they used to be years ago.
My personal experience shows this is true – meta keywords are getting less and less SEO value. But if you get them negotiated as a bonus to your onpage package – why not?
Price: my personal opinion is that this particular item of onpage optimization that needs to be fought for. If you want to get it as a nice bonus to your package and your SEO company is not against it, great. If they try to get some extra money for this very service, then I do not think it makes any sense to pay any additional more for it.
(*) URL of the page
With URLs it is very simple – it is great for SEO if your *golden* keywords are used in the URL of this page.
Search engine bots “read” the URL as well, and if you have a *golden* keyword mentioned in the URL – it can be an additional SEO boost that will help you to get a better position in search engine results for this very keyword.
NOTE: there is one technical nuance – not all site engines allow to put any keyword you want into the URL of a specific page. And this is a SEO disadvantage if you cannot do that. So, my recommendation to you – when you are choosing the content management system for your site – to make sure that your site constructor allows putting the keywords into the URL (like Wordpress).
Price: this job is pretty simple; basically it is just about putting the keyword in the URL and making it more or less readable, that is why I do not think that it is worth any additional money. It is much better if you can negotiate it to be as part of meta title and meta description pack – and all this can be done for up to $10 per page, especially if you hire them to do that for a nice number of pages.
(*) text of the page
This is the biggest textual part and that is why it has lots of variations.
First of all, you need to find out if YOU or the SEO service is going to create the text for this page. It is very important, because this can be the most expensive part of the onpage optimization.
If SEO service is writing the text for you, then the best type of text you can get is a unique text. Surely this unique text costs a lot. For example, one piece of unique text of 450 words can cost you starting from $15 to more – it all depends upon the niche and how many pages you are ordering. And if this is done by a professional copywriter, then of course the price will be much higher (but so would the results once visitors get to the page).
There is one typical catch that can be used about unique text, SEO services can try to sell you rewritten text as unique. There is nothing bad about rewritten text, but the price for it is not as high as for the unique text. That is why if you decided to buy unique text, make sure to use services like copyscape.com for checking the uniqueness of the text. There for 5 cents (in their paid membership) you can check the uniqueness of any text and be sure that you get what you paid for.
But, once again, unique text is not obligatory. If you cannot afford to pay for it or to write it yourself, hire SEO service to rewrite the text. There are lots of PLR (private label rights) packages with articles that allow to have been rewritten, without any legal problems, and SEO services typically have lots of these PLR packages available. One rewritten article (400-450 words inside) should cost around $10 – this is quite a fair price.
Also ask SEO service if they will put H1, H2 and other HTML mark up code in the text on your pages. This job is not obligatory and even without it your text (provided it has at least one *golden* keyword inside) is already helping you. Still, if a SEO service can do that marking of the text with proper codes – this can be an extra SEO boost to the quality of your text in the eyes of search engines. I do not think that this job can cost more than $5 per page, because usually it is about just putting a code here, a code there, and it can take 2 minutes.
Price: I am not giving any exact prices here, because you see that the choice is huge here – articles can be unique or rewritten or given by you; the HTML marking of the text can be done, but not necessarily. Too many options. But I gave you hints about how much each of the jobs can cost.
For more details about offpage optimization (link building) and how to keep SEO services from cheating you on this part of SEO – wait for the upcoming Part 3 of this publication and stay tuned to Terry Dean’s blog.

Google Adsense myths dispelled
30. June 2009
Dan
This is the first post in a series of posts I’m going to be making on earning money with Google Adsense.
I’m going to start with some of the myths surrounding Google Adsense, then move on to effective methods for earning money with it…
Google Adsense Myth #1 – “nobody’s really making any money with Adsense”
I have a “skype-buddy” who makes 1500/day with Adsense in a completely, 100% automated fashion. The method he uses is pretty high-tech and involves uses some custom-made scripts (that’s all I’m gonna say on that…)
Google Adsense Myth #2 – ” you only make like 15 cents a click with Adsense sites”
Again, not 100% correct here, , and I’ve seen clicks ranging from 10 cents to $3.38 per Adsense click and those clicks both came from the same site…
However, if you target a niche that has high-paying keywords, then you’ll most likely receive higher-paying clicks for Adsense clicks on your site, generally speaking…
Google Adsense Myth #3 – “…but you need to have a site that’s 3 months old before you can put Adsense on it”
When I start a new Adsense site, the first thing I do is activate one of the most SEO-friendly themes I’ve ever used (the theme this blog uses, Code Blue Revolution).
After the new sites has been indexed, and subsequent posts have all been indexed, I active an Adsense-friendly WordPress theme time-tested for high CTR and start making Adsense “click-dough” shortly thereafter.
Google Adsense Myth #34 – ” You have to get luck and find high-paying Adsense niches with little to no competition in order to make big bucks with Adsense”
Well, there’s 2 schools of thought for finding good Adsense niches
#1 – The first school of thought says to blog about common every day items that get a lot of searches, like household items, any items that are lying around your home or office like furniture, desks, pens, speakers, kitchen appliances etc…
#2- The second school of thought suggests finding the high-paying niches with low competition and “doing more”, or making more with less clicks.
Next up: How to find both types of Google Adsense niches

1 Simple Question to Boost Your Profits
29. June 2009
Terry
Sometimes I do in depth articles or long lists of ways to increase your profits.
Other times it’s to your benefit to learn a profit booster you can use ANYTIME.
That’s what I’m going to share today.
Here’s the phrase you need to learn.
“What else?”
Here’s how we’re going to apply it all throughout our website.
You put up a squeeze page to get people to subscribe to your list. On the next page many people simply say thank you for subscribing and they tell you to check your email to confirm and receive the free gift you promised.
“What else can you do here?”
Add a special offer here. It could be a discount or some other bonus. After someone subscribes, say thank you for subscribing, but also tell them here is a special we only make available to new subscribers. Depending on what you’re offering, you may produce a 5% to 20% sales rate on this page (lower ticket items such as $50 or less).
I’ve also found an extra benefit to doing this here. If you can get the first sale quickly from a new subscriber, you’re going to find they’re worth much more to you in the long-term as well. They’re not just a freebie seeker at this point. They’re a buyer. Huge difference between those two classifications.
Even better if you can get a 2nd sale from them…
After they buy this first product, what else?
You can do an immediate upsell after they purchase (you could continue this through multiple upsells but you will find quickly there is a point where it is too much in one spot). You also will want to put an offer on the thank you/download page after they purchase this first product.
What if you currently only have one product? Then that’s where you can review or recommend an affiliate product.
Let’s look at another application. You’ve done 6 follow-up email messages in your series. “What else can you add?” You can build an almost unlimited email sequence out (I quite a few clients with more than 1 year’s worth of follow-up messages in at least one of their autoresponders).
Below is a video from Dave Hamilton. He was originally a winner when I ran a contest for my Internet Lifestyle Retirement System. Here is the review he sent in for the product.
Note how when he followed one of the suggestions from the course (the thank you page offer), he achieved a 40% sales rate from his visitors. Wow Dave! He must have used a very good offer. Listen up to what he has to say…
By the way, you can check out the course here…

There are Web Design Elements You Should Avoid on Your Site
27. June 2009
skysuccess@live.com
You should design your websites to give your visitors the greatest ease of use and the best impression. Most important of all is a welcoming experience. It doesn't matter if you had the greatest product in the whole world if your website is poorly done. Visitors will be driven off your website by the lousy design. I'm not only talking about a good graphical design. A professional web design will be able to point out that there are many components which contribute to a good website design. Accessibility design, interface or layout design, user experience design and of course the most straightforward, which is graphic design.
Here are some features of the worst web designs I've come across. If anything on your site fits the criteria, you might want to take serious action!
1) Background music
Unless you are running a site which promotes a band, a CD or anything related to music, I would really advise you to stay away from putting looping background music onto your site. It might sound pleasant to you at first, but imagine if you ran a big site with hundreds of pages and everytime a visitor browses to another page on your site, the background music starts playing again. If I were your visitor, I'd just turn off my speakers or leave your site. Moreover, they just add to the visitors burden when viewing your site. Users on dial up connections will have to wait longer just to view your site as it is meant to be viewed.
2) Extra large/small text size
There is more to web design than purely graphics. User accessibility is a big part too! Your site should be legible and reasonably sized to enable your visitors to read it without straining their eyes. You will not sell anything no matter how good the content of your website if it's illegible
3) Popup windows
Popup windows are so blatantly used to display advertisements that in my mind, 90% of popup windows are not worth my attention. Imagine if you had a very important message to convey and you put it in a popup window that gets killed most of the time it appears on a visitor's screen. Your website loses its function immediately!
As a webmaster, your job is to make sure your website does what it's meant to do effectively. Don't let minor mistakes stop your site from functioning optimally!
The best way I have found to promote my websites is Unique Article Wizard. Check out the Unique Article Wizard Reviewtoday and see what the Wizard can do for your business!

Making Money With Unique Article Wizard – Part 5 of the Unique Article Wizard review series
25. June 2009
Dan
How to make Unique Article Wizard pay for itself and then some with just one article.
This is the last post in this review series on the Unique Article Wizard service. So far, we’ve covered
- what “UAW” is,
- what it does,
- how to make Adsense income with it
- how to list build with it,
- how to do linkbuilding with it
- …and how to increase traffic and rankings with it…
But let’s say you don’t have a “plan” and don’t have any real idea how you’re going to use this great service to build your online empire…
Let’s assume for the sake of this article that you’re looking for a way to just write articles with your affiliate links embedded in them and getting those articles widely syndicated via Unique Article Wizard.
This business plan means you don’t want to build a list or get any of your websites highly ranked, and just want to write-and-earn.
While I think this is a rather short-sighted approach to running a business and using this service, there’s still value in knowing how to do this because:
You could use this method to offset some off your costs for using their service.
You can hire someone to write and submit articles that bring in sales for you witohut “lifting a finger” yourself.
You will pay $67.00/month for Unique Article Wizard, and for $20.00 have a writer write 2 articles that should bring in enough sales to more than cover your costs (67 + 20 = $87.00) leaving you with a self-funding service to do with what you will.
Now, the trick here is not just to write articles that sell well and get high click-through-rates but to figure out what it is you want to make sales with and that requires doing a little bit of research.
If you want the winning article-writing formula, you can get access to that in the 4th installment of the Unique Article Wizard training newsletter that available for you at the end of this post.
Researching niches to find products to write articles for…
If you’re in the MMO, IM niche there’s plenty of flavor-of-the-day products coming out daily that can be promoted and some places to get head starts on everyone else include:
IMNEWSWATCH - A service that regularly posts new information about new products in this niche
Warrior Forum Special Offers forum - Occassinoally you’ll see some new products or services coming out here that announce the launch of a new service or products, but usually at Beta-tester discounts, regulay discounts, or even free copies of products in return for reviews.
Also be sure to check out their JV section, too
$7Dollar Offers - This is a site that has a lot of products that you can promote for 100$ commissions. They have 22 categories besides Internet Marketing products here
Clickbank and Paydotcom – lots of different types of digital products to sell here as well
Sites dedicated to announcing product launches:
http://www.jvproductlaunch.com/
http://www.jvnotifypro.com/
Well, I think that that’s good enough of a “starter list” for finding new or old Internet Marketing- related products to promote, so let’s discuss how to find products in any niche that have very little competition, are new, or just not widely promoted yet…
Criteria for product promotion selection:
- Is sales page compelling to you, make you want to buy product?
- Is this something you or your writer can write well enough about to create and distribute a money-making article?
- Is the pay-out commission good for you? If commission percentage is less than 50% I wouldn’t bother promoting it.
Remember that 2 sales of a $47.00 product at 50% is $47.00 in your pocket, which means you’ll need to make 4 affiliate sales to earn $94.00, which more than covers your costs for Unique Article Wizard (and cost of hiring a writer).
Also remember that this is a numbers game, and you’ll need to get 100 clicks on your affiliate link to make 4 sales if the product’s sales page is converting at 4%…
NOTE: If you just made a blogger blog and put a landing page, you could link to your landing page instead of your affiliate link to get that landing page highly ranked and to receive 100 visitors on auto-pilot…
But again, the main components here are really the quality of the products sales page, what the payout is for you, and if the niche is full of Desperate Buyers (people looking to lose weight, get out of debt, cure medical ailments or embarrassing physical problems, relationship troubles, foreclosures etc…)
If you come across a niche that doesn’t have a ton of competition then you’ll do well simply by writing a good article that sells well and getting it distributed and syndicated via Unique Article Wizard.
The Unique Article Wizard newsletter is Free and in issue #4 you’ll learn the step-by-step formula for writing an article guaranteed to convert into sales for you.
Get Unique Article Wizard here then get my newsletter training series on how to use it most effectively…
I wish I could “reveal” more about this service and it’s many uses, but this is the 6th post I’ve made on this subject and the newsletter covers some other information not discussed in the 5-6 part Unique Article Wizard review series.

Why Some Succeed Where Others Fail
25. June 2009
Terry
Why do some succeed where others fail? What about when it takes place in the exact same market? They both start a blog. They both send out emails. They both do search engine optimization and PPC. They both invest hours working on their business. They both follow that motto everyone pitches so heavily, “Just Take Action.”
Yet one makes money while the other just spins their wheels. Why? Here is a short video where I talk about the difference and the importance of content which is uniquely yours.

Listbuilding with Unique Article Wizard – Part 4 of 5 Unique Article Wizard review
24. June 2009
Dan
Unique Article Wizard list-building = How to get thousands of websites promoting your squeeze page for you.
Do you ever get those SPAMMY emails that say something like,
“There are 6 million people who want to send you $6.00 by PayPal”?
Well, to an online business-person who knows the value of list-building, getting your squeeze pages promoted by thousands of relevant websites and directories seems like fairy-tale, Spam-hype-nonsense, too.
This can be a reality when you use Unique Article Wizard for listbuilding, however are 4 Points that need to be addressed:
1- Unique Article Wizard will allow you to get thousands of backlinks to your squeeze pages, but the effects are somewhat temporary.
2- You will get a quick surge of referral traffic during the first few days of your article submissions, but then it dies down and you’re left with “just” a massive link build up afterwards.
3- To list build with article marketing is extremely effective because it’s like having informative articles acting as solo advertisements and it also increase the organic traffic those squeeze pages get via the linkbuilding (if the links to the squeeze page had anchor-text keywords in there)
If all of this anchor text and linkbuilding stuff is confusing to you, try joining Automated Linkbuilding to get some detailed and informative free PDFs on linkbuilding, how links work, and after using that service, you’ll see how backlinks affect your rankings and organic traffic.
4- You sometimes have to sacrifice anchor text backlinks for calls to action and the end of articles that result is better click-thru-rates.
For example, below are 2 different calls to action, A.K.A. resource boxes that could be at the end of an article about dog training methods. See which call to action (Capitalized and Bolded) seems more compelling to you:
Resource box/Call to Action #1
Joe the Dog training guy has a free report on DOGTRAINING TIPS that will help you blah, blah, blah.
Resource box/Call to Action #2
Joe the Dog training guy has a free report full of dog training tips that has helped 1000s of pet owners train their pets. Click HERE to get this Free report….blah, blah, blah
OK, the point here is that sometimes you will sacrifice some anchor-text-based backlinks in your articles in exchange for higher CTRs (ClickThus) on links in your articles.
The Ultimate Call to Action in a resource box will have a perfect merging of high CTR on links that are keyword -anchor-text-based.
OK, to be clear on this point about having keywords in your anchor text in articles that link to your squeeze pages, here’s what I mean:
The following is an example of some anchor text (the words that are clickable and linking to something) that is not going to help the site it’s linking to rank well for anything useful since the clickable text, the anchor text is the word HERE
HIGH CTR blurb with no Keywords in Anchor text
Click HERE to get a Free linkbuilding guide, and the 42-page Sensible Guide To Traffic Generation.
LOWER CTR blurb with Keywords in Anchor text
Daniel runs a 3 way linkbuilding service, complete with 3 free reports (on-page optimization guide, linkbuilding guide, and the 42-page Sensible Guide To Traffic Generation)
The next part of this review series will demonstrate how to make Unique Article Wizard pay for itself and then some with just one article

5 Step Solution to Information Overload
22. June 2009
Terry
I received an email this week and this is one of the comments they made:
“No one person or place has all the answers. So you find the “experts” to get your info. Then one contradicts the other on certain info and so you look somewhere else. Which adds to the ADD I’ve already suffering from. It’s a vicious cycle. Who do you trust?”
If you’re looking for ANYONE (and I do mean anyone including me) to give you all the answers, you’re already coming at it from the wrong angle. “Experts” are of course going to give different info and even contradict one another because they are each unique individuals. They have developed systems which work for them and their online business.
What works for one may not work for another. For example, I tested a video landing page that autoplayed. It worked great for me. A client I have in a professional market tested autoplaying on his video and it decreased his response. Do autoplay videos increase conversion or hurt conversion? You have to test it (test results so far indicate the more likely your customer is in an office or public environment the less likely autoplay will work for them).
I’ve said many times that I failed my way to success online. I found everything that didn’t work…and simply stumbled upon the best parts to keep using.
The ONLY way to get “all the answers” is to test in your market. Even then I’ve been doing this for more than 13 years and I don’t have all the answers. I don’t know anyone who does. I do know though if you try to combine 5 different systems from 5 different gurus you’ll simply end up with a MESS.
That’s kind of like pulling 5 recipes out of your cookbook and trying to mix them all together. Please don’t invite me over for dinner the day you try that.
My advice is to subscribe to a dozen people’s lists.
1. Now unsubscribe from anyone who only sends you ads and never provides any free content.
2. Look for more “honest” results. Now unsubscribe from everyone who is constantly telling you how easy it is to become a millionaire online.
We’ve now probably eliminated 7 or 8 of the lists you were on. For your final steps:
3. Look for people where you identify with their teaching style. You understand them and what they’re saying.
4. Find a model you want to commit time and effort to. If you’re not willing to honestly WORK hard for the next 3 to 6 months on this system, don’t waste your time.
5. Now focus and do it. Turn off all the other noise (I always tell clients not to buy anything you won’t use within the next week).
Now you have an option of what to pick and go after. I don’t know a single successful person who buys “everything” out there all the time and tries to listen to a multitude of sources. I can almost hear the objection now, “But if I only go after one system for the next 3 months, I’m not learning everything.”
No one said you had to learn everything. This isn’t college. There isn’t a professor about to give you an “F” next week. You have to simply learn a system you can follow!
Here’s something I’ve never really heard anyone talk about. After coaching many clients, I’ve found many clients THRIVE once they find the right connection for them. What do I mean when I say this?
I’m not going to name any names but let me give you a few “general examples” from actual clients. I had a client who produced several digital information products. No matter what we did in promotion they would just do OK. They never “thrived” in this business model even though it is one of my favorite models. The moment they decided to “consult” with others about the basics of their internet business (such as getting autoresponders and websites up), they immediately thrived. They hit their grove.
I’ve seen another client who had this with joint ventures. When doing joint ventures and recruiting affiliates, they did well. They made money. But it’s only when they drill in and focus on Adwords that they do extremely well (it fits their personality). Because they know they can make money with jvs they often waste their time here if I don’t watch them and keep them on track.
A third client claimed he was “burned out” even though his business was making more money than ever before. Knowing his situation I knew the real answer was he was getting bored because everything just worked smoothly. He needed a new challenge so we added a couple of things he has never done before to his schedule.
What works for one person is not a guaranteed fix for everyone else. That’s why I often publish “list” posts. When I publish a list of 21 Ways to Add More Subscribers, should you run out and do all of them next week? NO. You simply should pick and choose the right ones that fit you and your business.
If you tried to put all the strategies in place, you’d go insane. Or you’d simply run around in circles like the mouse trying to get the cheese.
I could call this post the “The Beginner’s Hamster Wheel” if I wanted Because that is what it is often like for beginners online. They chase expert #1 for a while, buy a bunch of products, and then move on to guru #2.
Let’s make this clear. You shouldn’t be looking to experts to give you ALL the answers. They simply point the path to take.
That’s all I can really do for you through an information product. I point out the path and then I warn about some of the dangerous I faced. “Look out for that alligator in the pond!”
That’s what I do in my products. If you’re looking for a good serious of blueprints for starting your online business, I’d recommend checking out The Truthprints which are available here…
Will they give you ALL the answers? Nope. Some answers in YOUR NICHE will only be found by testing. My product simply points the way and gives you a good foundation for getting there. Will you run into problems? Probably. Murphy’s Law is alive and well in technology.
When I buy a map, I don’t always expect everything to go smoothly on the way to my end location. On our way down to Florida we had a flat tire…and several other problems. Construction held us up for hours. It wasn’t the map’s fault. But we EVENTUALLY got to the destination. It’s the same with your business. There will be problems. There will be issues. And things won’t always go as planned.
Just keep moving and testing till you reach your destination. Get OFF the hamster wheel though of buying all the new product launches. You won’t get anywhere by going in circles!
