A Moving, Manic Monday….

WHEWWWW what a weekend.

We moved on Friday and I have to tell you -the last time I worked that physically hard and woke up in that much pain I think It was when I gave birth to my son Isaac almost 8 yrs ago! LOL

We moved from our old home into a new house that we had built a year ago. While the new house is only 1/2 a mile from the old house, that still didn’t seem to lessen all the darn work that was involved. I have to say that it went as smoothly as any move can go, nothing broken or lost (uhmm that I know of)

I did manage to totally unpack the entire kitchen on Friday (only because the kitchen is the heart of our home) . I’ve been walking around the entire house make a list of things we need. The other house had built in shelves in the Living room and this house has NADA and I have over 100 books I like to display. Sheesh!

Isaacs room is considerably smaller than the old one and he wan’t too happy about that but it does give him enough room to move about it and it is totally a Boys-Boy room. His homework desk sits right in front of his bedroom window with Billy the fish on the corner of the desk and it is really is nicely organized.

Isreal got to work the second she got home from school on Friday and was determined to get her ENTIRE room unpack and you know what.. she did it. By 2am the room was totally done, her TV, X-box and her ipod and speakers all hooked (hey, whats a 16yo gal without Cable and music blasting)

The entire house is asleep and here I sit online (yup I hijacked someones wireless signal)

One thing our new home has that the other didn’t is a build in pantry right off the kitchen that I love. It also has one of those circular lazy susans in the bottom cabinets that is perfect for cans :). As soon as we dig our way from under the boxes, i will be sure to share pictures.

Quick Sidenote: Can you believe that hubby and I didn’t fight not one darn time during the entire move process? Perhaps we were too darn numb and exhausted. I heard that a home move is the true test of a marriage…LOL

Here is the Kitchen - Thanks to my love affair with HGTV Show ‘Mission Organization, I managed to get all of our items into the kitchen and still have one pantry shelf empty and 2 cabinets that are empty as well Yay me!
