It’s Friday.
Today is sparring day. Working my stand up. Punches. Kicks. Combos.
My training parter is a super heavyweight named Ramm. The kid is 260 pounds and hits like a truck. I’m 148 pounds and hit like a truck too… a Tonka truck.
Training with a guy that can put my lights out with one punch is very…interesting.
It encourages me to move my feet, and keep my hands up.
There’s a lesson in there for entrepreneurs. No matter how much you love your business, a super heavyweight competitor can drop you to your knees if you get lazy. Think that big fat cashflow is forever? Just remember that its the punch you don’t see that hurts the most. Stay nimble. Keep your freakin’ guard up!
Oil just hit $90 a barrel yesterday, and gold is sniffing the crotch of $800 an ounce. I have a feeling that a flurry of punches to the solar plexus is coming for a lot of North American businesses.
