It can be extremely difficult to get a book published if you are a new author. For this reason, many authors opt to publish their own books. While it may seem like a great option, there are many things to consider before you make the leap.
Which type of self-publishing should you choose? Are you really ready to deal with the responsibility of writing, publishing and promoting your own book? It requires some know how and dedication.
This past weekend, while hanging out at the Writer´s Cafe on Grow Your Writing Business, I asked about POD publishing, since I´m currently looking at my options for book publishing. A very nice writer, Lillie, offered her PDF Self-Publishing Primer, which is very helpful. It covers the basics of what you need to consider and is an excellent resource for anyone interested in going this route. It will help you decide the best path to take. And it´s free.
