Kult Office in Singapore took the phrase ‘Stay in School’ to heart when they recently moved into their new space. The PR and advertising agency chose a former school as the site and worked with FarmWork architects on the new design. The resulting design ditched the cubicles and instead looks more like a science lab which aims to be a home for eccentric creative types. Kult wanted a space that would act as a laboratory for ideas.

The focal feature of the space is a large, clinical blue painted ceiling light fixture that contains 500+ test tubes. Lights are strategically placed to spell out Kult. Below the staff work at long laboratory style benches. Liquid filled vials and beakers dot the office.

The design creates a nice closed circle with the original context of the building. FarmWork successfully evolved the concept beyond the obvious and created a visual reinforcement for the quirky and experimental nature of Kult’s work.
