I know what you are thinking - the market is down. If you invest on online market, there are high chances that your business will also flop. I don’t disagree to it. However, this is high time to develop your business too!
Why?
The primary reason is as there is a recession in the market, it has stricken the panic button across the globe. People are so worried about the situation that they hardly have time to think about their actual condition. And thus advertising prices are going down. If you start developing a business now, your promotional cost would definitely be less than regular.
The market is undoubtedly down - especially the online real estate market. A lot of websites (mid range) have also stopped or reduced regular marketing exercises as the sales volume is down.
But, do you really think that the market will remain the same in the next year?
Where to invest?
I would recommend you to buy a website (may be something like a product selling website that earns from affiliate marketing) rather than starting one from the scratch. Look for some best deals in different forums (you can also put an ad here to buy a website on your favorite niche). And now, invest some money on advertising.
What sort of advertising?
Some advertisements have a recurring value and some are immediate. For example, if you invest on AdWords, you would get immediate traffic. But I would recommend you to buy advertisements on blogs - especially if you have shortage of budget. You will easily find a lot of blogs in your niche that would offer lifetime advertisement spot for less than usual prices (paid reviews!!!). And, undoubtedly you would get the recurring value here from seo perspective.

Going Aboard The Singapore Flyer

A view of Singapore city at night from the Singapore Flyer, supposedly the largest wheel in the world. This was one of the places I visited when I went to Singapore recently and although it did not meet my expectations, the ride was still quite interesting.
