Learning From Patagonia’s Sustainable Model

Wednesday, den 4. March 2009

The Guardian recently sat down with Rob Bondurant VP of Marketing at Patagonia and asked him to discuss their sustainable model and how they will continue to innovate for the future. Beyond simply furthering the reach of their own brand, we found Patagonia’s desire to provide leadership in the areas of ethical business practices to be particularly noteworthy.

During 2008, the company started the Organic Exchange with the sole purpose of training other companies to source and manufacture organic goods. In an effort to provide their customers… Continue reading Learning From Patagonia’s Sustainable Model

The U.S. Stimulus Package: What’s Missing?

Wednesday, den 4. March 2009

I like Bruce Nussbaum’s list of what he’d like to see in The Stimulus Bill. The premise of his piece is that INNOVATION got a bit left out in the discussion and writing of the bill i.e., the process to get us to a healthy economy. Nussbaum does believe Obama has a vision for an America that is “green, urban, tech-centric and young”, but that much more than writing about a vision is needed to get us… Continue reading The U.S. Stimulus Package: What’s Missing?

As Mei Moses Index’s 2008 Year End Art Market Insights reports: “last year, the art market only declined by about 4.5 percent, but the post-war and contemporary sectors dropped by 11 percent.” Prominent Chelsea galleries, like Cohan and Leslie, Oliver Kamm 5BE, Mehr
